He has excelled in the show ring and has earned multiple group placements.
Ziva went into labor on Labor Day.
She gave birth to a single, black male puppy
at 11:00 p.m. on September 6, 2010.
She is being an excellent mother.
INTO THE FIRST WEEK
Ziva prefers to have paper around this little guy.
To keep her from pulling up the bedding, we put paper on top too.
He has such a sweet face.
Is he saying his prayers?
All stretched out.
The puppy picked up a nickname. We're calling him Baby Bumpkin.
We've got to call him something.
INTO THE SECOND WEEK
He has doubled his size and is quite a handfull.
He is holding his head up.
We gave him some odd bodies to crawl over - pseudo littermates.
He had visitors and was quite comfortable snuggling with Dylan.
INTO THE THIRD WEEK
He is developing mobility. Soon he'll try to climb out.
His eyes opened this week.
Like his predecessors, he falls asleep wherever he happens to be.
Oops, I woke him up.
INTO THE FOURTH WEEK
His favorite toy.
The duck is the first toy he has played with.
He can sit now.
INTO THE FIFTH WEEK
The air conditioner broke down during a heat wave so we went outside early.
It's BIG out here.
Wait, I want to look some more.
Back inside and more new stuff.
Hmmmm, what is this?
Baby Bumpkin started on solid food.
It won't be long before the milk is gone.
TIME TO SET UP THE PUPPY YARD.
The only chair in the yard, I like it under here!
You talking to me?
Look what I found.
Here's more good stuff.
Great, I've got my own wheels.
An outdoor ?Bed? Oh wait, it's a pause table.
It gets dark out here. I'm not afraid of the dark.
INTO THE SIXTH WEEK
This is my day pen. I like it.
I get to show Taiko my play yard today.
See my tunnel!
Wow, big water.
INTO THE SEVENTH WEEK
We're supposed to have a new adventure today.
Is this an adventure?
Great, the big guys are in my adventure.
Oh, we get the big yard today.
Well, here we are.
Yipee! I'm free!
Hmmm, Taiko isn't afraid.
Oh my, Zoomy plays fast.
Heading back in.
Hey, there's all my toys, let me in.
Adventures take a lot out of me. I'm whooped.
INTO THE EIGTH WEEK
Bumpkin is 13 times his original size.
He has longer legs,
He is outgrowing his toys,
and he is looking more like the 'big' dogs every day.
INTO THE NINTH WEEK
Once again, it is time to for the pup to go home.
Bumpkin found the perfect family!
They hunt! They love the outdoors! They run!
And they have a HUGE yard!
Did I mention that they hunt? A lot!
But more important, they love him!
He is their First Curly and he'll train them up right!
